2023 Goals

Our 2023 goal is to host 250 sailors on December 25th, 2023, through an abundance of sponsorships to provide a home away from home Christmas Day. Over the years, we have realized the growing need of this partnership with the Great Lakes Naval Station to remind our sailors in training that we are here to support them. Many sailors have families that cannot travel on Christmas Day and that’s where we come in.

2022 Wins

We celebrated our 14th Annual Sailors for Christmas event for 150 sailors from the Naval Station Great Lakes (NSGL) on Sunday, December 25th, 2022.

Backstory

While most of us will be spending Christmas Day with family and friends, sadly many of the men and women of our armed forces will not have the opportunity to be with their loved ones for the holidays. We have relied strictly on the generous donations from caring and supportive individuals like you.

Sailors for Christmas is an all-day event which includes a Christmas dinner for recruit sailors from Great Lakes Naval Training Center as well as local veterans that served in WW2, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan.  We partner with local businesses to provide free cell phone usage to allow our young men and women in uniform to call their loved ones on this special day.  We also provide homemade goodies from the neighborhood as well as many other amenities. 

Help us make this Christmas Day a very special day for our freedom fighters.
